Marketing step 5: Support

To us, optimization also includes people power. We base our own price on a highly competitive price/hour. It's actually lower than the average for our area. But we find that even this statement is really misleadingly high.As this page goes to press we just reviewed our last few projects and compared time really spent versus the time that we actually billed.

We do a lot of "hand holding" with clients, etc., which all seems to get thrown in to our "cost of doing business," i.e., not billed because it's free. So, it really puts the lie to our typical price/hour. The result is a real average cost/hour which is so low that it's embarrassing. (Shhh! Don't tell anyone.)

What is the benefit of such careful attention? It helps get you through, even if you don't know much at all about computers! Here's the result --

Email on file --
"Thanks for holding with me when I know how many times you (must have) wanted to wring my neck. ... Your writings, wit, and caring let me know that you are a very special person and that I am in awe of your extraordinary patience."

Email on file --
"You have my complete trust as always. ... Keep up the good work, and the help. I've given out your site and name to quite a few people..."

Three emails on file from one client --

"Thanks Harold. I just love this support!!!"

"Amazing!! You did it again."

"This support is fantastic. ... You are too good to be true. You have to remember who I was dealing with before the Harold days."

Time so expended doesn't pay the bills. But in another sense, we figure that it really does!

Be sure to get the full details of our Full Support Program.

And, we keep our ear to the ground for ideas which may enhance your situation.
